Behavioral health is defined as how a person thinks, feels and acts when faced with life’s situations. A behavioral health professional is a person who is licensed by the state and whose professional activities address a client’s behavioral issues. Types of careers include: Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Psychologist and Licensed Addiction Counselor.
